Ready to Rocket 2019 Lists Announced

Last night we attended the annual Ready to Rocket Launch Event, where this year’s Ready to Rocket and Emerging Rocket lists were announced.

 

As always, the lists were a rich cross section of British Columbia’s tech sector, showcasing what the organizers believe to be the “Revenue Growth Leaders of Tomorrow”. This year nearly 200 companies made the combined lists, out of more than 450 applicants and nominees.  The growth in these companies alone accounts for 1,000 jobs created in BC in 2018.

 

The lists are broken down by sector: Agri-Food Tech, Cleantech,  Digital Health, Life Sciences and ICT (Information and Communication Technologies). Each sector has two lists: Ready to Rocket, for companies with an established base of initial customers and revenue, with rapidly increasing headcount and revenue, and the Emerging Rocket, for companies just entering the market and establishing a base of initial customers.  In 2020, a new sector will be added: Digital Media (AR/VR, Gaming Content).
